“Prison Ministry” by PT Mammen

Scripture: Acts 12: 1-19

Today we will identify how prayer, evangelism, discipleship and ministry work in prison. It is hard to predict how people change their opinion when gospel challenges their ego centrism. It is one thing to be a self assured believer because of faith in Jesus, and it is another thing to be self absorbed that others of faith become a point of offense.  Peter’s arrest made the church pray intensely.

The enemy raised offense painfully, but the man of God enjoys grace of God under pressure. A child of God may be in prison but God gives the protection of His presence, assigns the angel to meet him and prepares the way out.  Angel decided to wake up Peter, and the chains fell off to free him.  The first automatic door opener was found here.  Unbelievers do not understand the unseen provisions of God.  A positive vision becomes a reality when God is managing the scene.

Believers have one door open to heaven through prayer and no force on earth can close that.  Angel brought Peter out, but left him to find his own way. God wants us to do what we can. Exercise your gifts to excel in God’s program.

God prepares people to care for His servants. There is a tremendous excitement when prayer is answered.

Some prayer warriors have difficulty in believing God’s answers.
