“Kingdom of Miracles” by P.T. Mammen

Luke 4:31-43

Today we will consider the kingdom of miracles. Scripture: 4:31-43. Luke outlines a series of miracles as part of the life and ministry of Jesus.

Please observe: Everything about Christ was  a miracle from birth to ascension.
Christ performed many miracles out of love for His people. He had compassion on people. He fulfilled the mission of opening the eyes of the blind etc. Miracles were part of fulfillment of prophecy to identify the Messiah inducing faith in the unbelieving. Miracle is not to test God, to see an evidence, as opposed to accepting by faith. Physical evidence is sought by those who have difficulty believing. Belief based on physical evidence will not last because when physical miracles cease faith also wanes. Life of faith withstands any onslaught of troubles or pain. God with us by faith is sure guarantee that there will be support when trials hit.
Miracles were to prove the message. eg. Changing water into wine was to affirm the message of repentance and life change. Raising the dead was to affirm that he is resurrection and life. The greatest of all miracles is the forgiveness of sins and saving a soul. Rebirth, sanctification and glorification are the ultimate miracle. Experience it today by God’s grace.
