"Surprise, He can speak" by PT Mammen

Today we will continue on the Christmas theme.

God uses people of all age background to fulfill His mission. In the case of Elizabeth and Zechariah or Virgin Mary God used people of faith and obedience. The Song of Zechariah demonstrates that quality magnificently.

The birth of a child evokes awe and reverence. Every child is a special person in the plan and program of God. We should be careful to raise them up in the nurture of God’s grace. A child should be developed physically, intellectually and spiritually with the eventual preparation for service.

John was to be forerunner of Jesus. The Holy Spirit opened the prophet’s mouth at the appropriate time of fulfillment of the word of the angel. The servant of God uses his first opportunity to praise God and to look at the future opportunity for his son to be the one to prepare the way for the Messiah.  The central theme of all prophesies is Christ’s mission to save.

We are redeemed from the guilt of condemnation, and from the bondage of evil prompting to sin. We are invited to serve in love. We walk in perfect obedience and happiness because we are motivated by father’s love and love for the father. This love cultivates holiness and righteousness. Everything is done as unto Christ. We do not resign, retire or abdicate or privilege. There is no break in our plan, motivated to move forward and upward.
