"Self-giving Missionary" by PT Mammen

Today we will identify the dynamics of missions: Acts 3:1-16

1. Servants of Jesus are always engaged in reaching out to others. Position or occasion or personalities involved does not matter. Always ready to present Jesus.

2. There is a world always looking for something extra. The needy are around us asking for something.

3.  Crippled is a symbol of not fully achieving what God has in store for each individual. God has offered abundant life, a life of joy, peace and prosperity. Satan steals away the blessings God has for us through his cunning craftiness. In what area are you crippled?

4. In order to serve those in need  a) We need to give them attention,         b) Give them a part of us, in this case extending Peter’s hand, c) Exercise the authority of the name of Jesus d) Trust in the sovereign power of God in critical moment and energize the faith of those in need. God does the work, and we are only agents.

5. Praise goes to God

6. Witness is made in a skeptical society and many people believe

7. Success leads to trials, battles, jail and even death.

8. God brings forth ultimate victory.
