“When the Spirit Moves” by P.T.Mammen

We will study how the Lord protects the heritage from the history of the children of Israel. Isaiah 63 begins with the vengeance and pain sin unleashed on His people and continues how strategically the salvation process
was instituted. How we will memorialize the act of redemption. Simply stated, it is actualized through prayer and praise.

The human mind may be burdened with the sense of guilt, personal afflictions and bereavement. Anxieties, grief and manifold calamities can have only one source of relief. The text points to the father of love and compassion who identifies with our distress and sends aid at the appropriate time.

The revealer of truth is grieved by unbelief and ignorance; the spirit of holiness by impurities; the spirit of love by selfishness and ingratitude.

Note:
1. Open rebellion arises from secret disloyalty and revert to former carnal gratification.
2. The influences of the spirit are resisted by the coldness and deadness of their heart.
3. As Israel murmured we despise our Lord instead of glorifying the Lord of deliverance.
4. Neglect the means of grace, His word. The Lord alone gives rest, by His goodness and compassion as we
turn toward Him in trust and obedience. Return to our first love and eternal home awaits. His tenderness outlives all our ingratitude and the Lord defends His own by His outstretched arms.
