Scripture Reference: Luke 8:1-15
Today we will look to the Lord for His vision for the church in 2009.
We learn a few lessons from the parable of Jesus about sowing and growing from Luke 8:1-15. Probably this first parable was set up to communicate a current truth as well as a lesson for the future when they will be on their own. A parable is a practical example easily understood and recognized (not a fable) told to impart a solemn lesson, mostly in a dramatic form but not unreasonable or improbable. It helps to remember the truth easier. This parable punctuates realism and reminds disciples that not all truths declared will be accepted with ecstatic thrill.
